Oculto Restaurant

Behind the scenes in Oculto’s kitchen, Chef Vítor Matos demystifies Fine Dining and converts the season’s freshest ingredients into true works of culinary art. Each flavor becomes a celebration, revering the richness of gastronomic culture, as if it were a symphony for the palate. The renowned Chef, holder of a Michelin star, and his team unveil the science of flavors in a signature cuisine, full of love, imagination, and art.

Oculto (Occult) is the name that honors the discovery of this new floor of the hotel, only revealed during the renovation of the Monastery. This place embraces the sublime, enchants with perfection and dazzles with its grandeur, where human skill merges with the 9th Art: gastronomy. Each dish is a masterpiece, executed with mastery and authenticity, elevating the sensorial experience to a transcendent level.

Throughout his more than 20-year career, Vítor Matos has received several distinctions as leader of the Largo do Paço kitchen, including including 2 “Sois” in the Repsol Guide, 1 Michelin star, “Garfo D’Ouro” in the Boa Cama Guide Boa Mesa from Expresso newspaper, Certificate of Excellence 2014, by TripAdvisor, and the title of Best Restaurant in Europe, by The European 50 Best.com Guide.
